Good news for paddling enthusiasts — the dock is now officially in place at Fanshawe Conservation Area!

The announcement was made via social media, with a reminder for canoeists and kayakers to exercise caution, as some debris remains in the water and could pose unexpected hazards.

The conservation area is open all weekend and operating under its regular seasonal hours:

• Monday to Friday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. (dam gate closes at 7 p.m.)

• Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (dam gate closes at 4 p.m.)

Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the water safely and take advantage of the newly installed dock as spring paddling season gets underway.
