
A disturbing incident in Sarnia has left a 28-year-old man hospitalized with serious injuries after an altercation believed to be related to illegal drugs, as reported by the local police.
On Friday afternoon, the police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a wounded man in the vicinity of Kathleen Street and Walnut Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, who had sustained significant injuries during a physical altercation with another man.
According to police reports, the situation escalated when a woman reportedly joined the confrontation and proceeded to assault the victim by repeatedly striking him in the face with a claw hammer. The brutal attack resulted in the victim requiring twenty-five stitches and undergoing medical treatment for his injuries.
Subsequently, a 43-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm in connection to the incident. The police have also identified the other man involved, and their investigation into the matter is ongoing.
