A late-night fire broke out in a detached garage at a residence on Michigan Avenue in Sarnia, stretching from Thursday night into the early hours of Friday.

Authorities responded to the blaze and urged the public to steer clear of the area between Briarfield Avenue and Thomas Drive as crews worked to control the fire.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and officials have not yet provided a damage estimate.
