Chatham-Kent Public Health (CKPH) is notifying the community about potential measles exposure at several locations in the region.

Individuals who visited any of the following places during the specified timeframes may have been exposed:

  • Growing Together Family Resource Centre – W.J. Baird Site (Blenheim)

    • March 4 to March 7: 7:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • EarlyON – W.J. Baird Site (Blenheim)

    • March 4 & March 6: 7:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Tim Hortons, Park Avenue (Chatham)

    • March 6: 4:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
  • Country Kitchen (Chatham)

    • March 7: 9:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
  • Walmart (Chatham)

    • March 7: 11:15 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Anyone who was at these locations during the specified times and is not up to date with their measles vaccinations should contact CKPH at 519-352-7270 ext. 5902.

Symptoms of measles include:

  • Fever
  • Runny nose
  • Cough
  • Drowsiness
  • Irritability
  • Red eyes
  • Rash starting on the face and spreading

If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention. Be sure to call ahead before visiting a healthcare provider to inform them of your symptoms.
