The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for ground beef sold at Aladdin’s Food on 611 Wonderland Road in London. The recalled beef, with a best before date of February 28, 2025, and packaged on February 24, 2025, may be contaminated with E. coli O103.
The CFIA is warning consumers not to consume, sell, serve, or distribute the affected product.
If you have purchased the recalled ground beef, it should be discarded or returned to the store where it was bought. Anyone who believes they may have consumed the contaminated product and feels ill should seek medical attention.
It’s important to note that E. coli O103 contamination may not cause food to appear spoiled, but it can still lead to illness. Symptoms of infection include nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and watery or bloody diarrhea. In severe cases, the infection can cause seizures, strokes, or permanent kidney damage.
