
A 26-year-old individual from Cambridge has been charged with stunt driving after being caught speeding nearly 200km/h on Highway 6 in South Bruce Peninsula. The incident occurred on Saturday around 2:30 p.m., when Grey Bruce OPP officers detected a vehicle traveling at a high speed in a zone where the speed limit is only 80km/h.Upon using radar, the officers confirmed that the driver was traveling at an alarming speed of 197km/h. This prompted an immediate traffic stop, leading to the driver’s arrest. The charges laid against the individual include stunt driving and speeding.Following the charge, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and their driver’s license was suspended for 30 days as part of the legal repercussions for such a severe traffic violation.
