An 18-year-old from Brampton, Ontario, has been charged in connection with a shooting outside Victoria Hospital in London. On December 14, 2024, shots were fired at the hospital’s emergency department entrance, targeting a man who had been wounded earlier at a different location. The shooter allegedly followed the victim to the hospital in an attempt to finish the job. No one at the hospital was struck by the gunfire.

The accused faces charges including attempted murder using a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and discharge of a restricted firearm. The suspect was already in custody for a separate incident involving a home invasion and shooting in Vaughan earlier this month.

In a related development, the same individual has been charged in connection with a home invasion in Vaughan. On January 6, 2025, several men broke into a residence, and at least one was armed with a handgun. A struggle ensued, resulting in a resident suffering minor injuries. The accused faces charges including robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, and other offenses.
